Uses : Acidic variety with late maturity from mid-November. Regular thinning makes it possible to regulate production fairly easily. Fairly hardy variety, needs to be trellised to be grown on an axis. Preferably to be planted in moderately fertile soils.
Cider: adds acidity to ciders (basic variety for the production of traditional cider in its area of origin, the Pays d'Othe - Aube)

Susceptibility to alternate bearing / thinning : Reaction to chemical thinning: average (fairly strong to PRM12).
Susceptibility / resistance to diseases : Scab: not very susceptible - Powdery mildew: average - Canker: average on young trees - Fire blight: not very susceptible on flowers and very susceptible on shoots.
