Origin : Golden Delicious x Priam
Breeder : INRAE
Licence holder : CEP Innovation
Picking date : Harvest time: mid-October. Characteristics: difficult to shake before natural fall (fruit at the end of branches and long stalk) - tendency of the fruit to ripen on the tree
Uses : A tart variety that ripens in early to mid-October, with high productivity. The tree is easy to manage; however, regular thinning is necessary to achieve annual production. Initially resistant to the common races, Judeline® has proven to be susceptible to the new races of scab; protection from major risks during primary infections is strongly recommended and helps to keep the inoculum low. Shaking the trees at harvest is often difficult and the fruit is sensitive to shocks during mechanised harvesting on the ground.
Cider: variety used to add acidity to cider
Thanks to IFPC for the information.
Blossom date : end of April. Characteristics : important fruiting on terminal buds
Pollinator : Cidor, Judaine®, Malus Evereste COV
Vigour : average
Time till first cropping / yields : more than 40 tons/ha
Susceptibility to alternate bearing / thinning : Reaction to chemical thinning: medium to strong
Susceptibility / resistance to diseases : Scab: resistant to strains but very susceptible to new strains - Powdery mildew: low to medium - Canker: low - Fire blight: very low susceptibility on shoots and low susceptibility on flowers
