Origin : Variety implanted in the whole French cider-growing area
Picking date : Harvest time: late September - early October. Characteristics: variety whose fruits have been ripening earlier for some years!
Uses : A bitter variety that ripens at the end of September and beginning of October, with good productivity. Fairly hardy variety, easy to grow when vigour is well managed in the early years. To be planted in moderately fertile soils. Used for making cider. .

Vigour : strong
Time till first cropping / yields : 35-40 tons/ha
Susceptibility to alternate bearing / thinning : Reaction to chemical thinning: average (can sometimes be quite strong)
Susceptibility / resistance to diseases : Scab: low to medium - Powdery mildew: low - Canker: low to medium - Fire blight: not very susceptible on flowers and shoots.
